FEDECOM
FEDECOM is an international initiative aimed at strengthening the energy sector by promoting energy communities throughout Europe. The focus is on cross-sector integration to foster economic development, grid stability, and environmental protection. Innovative solutions are being developed and implemented in three European pilot projects in Spain, Switzerland, and Belgium/Netherlands to test the applicability and adaptability of FEDECOM concepts in different regional contexts.
OpenMUC Applications
Within the FEDECOM project, OpenMUC is utilized to extract and generate ontologies and semantic repositories. This feature significantly facilitates the management and updating of configuration data, providing a consistent basis for the entire system.
Moreover, OpenMUC enables efficient data collection from various APIs and databases, ensuring comprehensive capture from diverse sources. The integration and standardization of measurements allow for the seamless combination and analysis of different data sets, providing a comprehensive overview of energy consumption and flow.
In the context of the FEDECOM project, OpenMUC is used to read the structure and metadata from ontologies. The information obtained from the ontology is utilized to read APIs, including obtaining threshold values for validation and other relevant data. This function significantly facilitates the management and updating of configuration data and provides a consistent foundation for the entire system.
The platform is easy to set up and configure, allowing users to start quickly and effortlessly. It also offers a range of customization options for specific need
